One-Ton Service

The truck box is 12’ long, 8’ wide, and 4’ high. This measures as 384 cubic feet or 14 cubic yards. A full load is usually determined by volume. However some items can be extremely heavy, and then is the load is charged by weight. We allow one metric tonne (1000 kgs) of weight for a full load.

These rates are based on the truck being able to pull up close to your pile, and the driver loads the truck. We supply one man with the truck which is usually sufficient. This keeps our staffing costs down and your price lower. When another man is required, we can provide this for an extra charge.

Bins

Our bins are 12 cubic yards. This is the most popular size and we find it works well on most sites.

Our bin service fee is $180 plus the dump fee. Presently the cost at the landfill is $95 per metric tonne (2000 lbs), so the average cost is $275 per load. This of course will vary with lighter or heavier loads. GST not included in the above pricing.

Fuel surcharge may be added/removed at anytime.

There are no rental fees or other costs except as specified in the Terms and Conditions in the Bin Contract.

The best place for a bin is on your driveway. We encourage you to place a piece of plywood down to protect it. Placing the bin on your lawn can work as well if the space permits. Your grass will be damaged from the bin, which would be your responsibility to repair. The last option is on the city street. You can call 3-1-1 and ask for the Traffic Engineering department for a permit. Our bins do not actually require a permit as they are within the size guidelines, but you need a waiver of the permit to display on the bin. Yes, you read that correctly. You need a waiver for not having a permit that you don’t require.
